L&T Tech Services - TECHgium Contest

Dear Prasanna, Greetings from L&T Technology Services Limited! We are pleased to inform you about the launch of our new “open innovation” initiative - TECHgium. This is an endeavour aimed at leveraging and providing opportunity to the talent available in your institute to work on industry challenges with futuristic technology ideas.

We have launched this new initiative as a way of spotting and rewarding the finest engineering graduates of our country through this nation-wide initiative. This will be accomplished by presenting the students with “Real-world Engineering Challenges”, which the students will have the opportunity to address through their work (either in the form of their final-year project or otherwise). The initiative will be executed in three phases as listed below:

Phase-1: Launch of Engineering Challenges and Abstract Submission • Launch of Engineering Challenges and Abstract Submission. • Names of students whose abstracts are shortlisted will be announced based on the evaluation by subject-matter expert and industry specialist. Phase-2: Presentation of Full Technical Solution • The shortlisted students shall work on full technical solution that addresses the challenge statement. • These students shall then present the full technical presentation of the proposed concept before a panel of judges. • Based on the evaluation of presentations, if selected will work on development of POC/prototype. Phase-3: Live Demonstration of Solutions and Declaration of Results • The shortlisted students shall develop their “complete solution” and make an in-person presentation/live demonstration to the jury panel. • A final list of selected students shall be released based on subsequent evaluation of the same.
